Seal-Connect® FC-Fiber Protec™ and ST-Fiber Protec™ Cable Assemblies

Greene Tweed’s Seal-Connect® portfolio of fiber optic solutions include high-performance cable assemblies, adapters, connectors, dust caps, and feedthroughs, in standard and custom solutions to fit any customer application. Seal-Connect® fiber optic connector products are specified across industries, including Aerospace & Defense, Power Generation, and Oil & Gas. These applications include use in commercial and military aircrafts, research labs, and underwater vehicles.

Greene, Tweed’s Seal-Connect fiber optic portfolio features a family of single fiber, FC and ST cable assemblies. Seal-Connect cable assemblies are designed to withstand harsh environments. The FC-Fiber Protec™ and ST-Fiber Protec™ single fiber cable assemblies can withstand high temperatures while maintaining mechanical characteristics. A 900 µm buffered fiber is surrounded by an armored stainless steel jacket to withstand crush and pressure situations while maintaining flexibility and durability in harsh environments or limited space. The stainless steel cable jacket provides strength in extreme conditions protecting the fiber.  Cable assemblies have been tested from -55°C to 85°C (-67°F to 185°F) and subjected to stringent heat and humidity with 0.5 dB maximum insertion loss. FC and ST termination types are available in both single mode and multi-mode fiber.
